The Record AC400 air cleaner protects your lungs

The Record AC400 air cleaner protects your lungs

The fine particles created by woodworking are more dangerous than people realise, and often carcinogenic

Awareness of how harmful the fine particles from woodworking are has grown in recent years. Small particles strain the lungs and are often carcinogenic. Record's AC400 air cleaner is designed to clear the indoor air of exactly those fine particles that dust extractors miss and that inevitably escape past them. This fine dust settles on every horizontal surface and over the years it can build up several centimetres thick. If it is not removed, it rises into the air again every time the air in the room is disturbed.

Two-stage filtration removes the fine particles and cuts the build-up decisively

The Record AC400 filters these finest particles down to 1 micron. Filtration is in two stages: the first stage captures particles of 5 microns and larger, and the inner filter goes down to 1 micron. This considerably extends the filter change interval and reduces clogging.

Remote control and timer

The AC400 air cleaner comes with a remote control, so it can be operated from the floor. The machine is best mounted close to the ceiling, which is where the remote makes both use and installation much easier. The unit has a timer, so it can be left running for a set time after work has finished.

Frequently asked questions

Down to what particle size does the Record AC400 filter?

Filtration is in two stages: the first captures particles of 5 microns and larger, and the inner filter goes down to 1 micron.

Why do I need an air cleaner if the workshop already has a dust extractor?

A dust extractor does not catch everything. The fine dust that escapes settles on horizontal surfaces, and if it is not removed it rises into the air again every time someone moves around the room.

Where should the AC400 be installed?

Close to the ceiling. That is exactly why the unit has a remote control, so it can be operated from the floor.

Can the cleaner be left running after work?

Yes. The timer keeps the unit running for a set period after work has finished, so the dust still in the air has time to be filtered out.
