Our customer does interior carpentry work and the latest project was replacing plywood boxes in laundry rooms. The saw was positively surprising with its quality and proved to be an excellent partner for his work, because the finishing touches are often done at the customer's place and dragging a larger saw is now unnecessary. The initial cutting of large boards is not necessary and cannot be done with a saw, but he does them with a Festool immersion saw.
Festool's CSC SYS 50 Cordless table saw works on batteries, so the essential question was the durability of the batteries. . Batteries had already accumulated, of course, but it was a positive surprise when one pair of batteries lasted the whole project's sawing. Sawing was mainly sheet and thinner cutting, with a few 40mm splits added. However, you should have another pair and a DUO charger in reserve, if there is more to saw.
Crosscutting panels and thinner stock and making accurate rips on site. Breaking down large sheets is not done with it — that is done with a plunge saw.
In this project one pair of batteries covered all the cutting for the drawer unit: mainly panel and thinner crosscuts plus a few 40 mm rips. For more cutting it is worth having a second pair and a DUO charger.
