The most dangerous cuts on a sliding table saw are small, narrow, angled and wedge-shaped parts: the hand ends up near the blade and the standard fence gives no support. The RUWI safety system is a guarding device made for exactly those — fitted and adjusted with no tools, and it suits all common sliding table saws.
The clamp arm length and the swivel clamp's T-nut are sized for Altendorf machines. Auxiliary fences are placed and locked to suit the workpiece quickly and without tools.
The Premium set has a feed fence with a handle, an angled auxiliary fence, two narrow auxiliary fences and two swivel clamps. Two clamps hold a long part at two points so it cannot rotate during the cut.
The swivel clamp is a height-adjustable quick clamp that swings through 360°. The cylinder locks into the sliding table's slot with no tools, and the arm tightens at any height on it. The pressure pad has a ball joint and a non-slip rubber face, so it seats on an angled surface without marking it.
A wall panel for hanging the parts is included. That is the detail that decides whether the system gets used: if the auxiliary fences live at the bottom of a drawer, that is where they stay and the cut gets made without them.
