Korkealuokkainen Luban-puhdistushöylä on valmistettu todella laadukkaista materiaaleista. Runko on 40Cr-terästä (ductile iron), kun halvemmissa höylissä on käytetty harmaarautaa (grey cast iron). Runko on sen vuoksi käytännössä särkymätön. Harmaarautainen runko sen sijaan murtuu helposti esimerkiksi pudotessaan kovalle lattialle. Terä on 3mm paksua, korkeahiilistä T10-työkaluterästä, joka on karkaistu kovuuteen 60-64 HRC Rockwellin asteikolla.

Puhdistushöylä normaalilla (20 astetta) teräkulmalla on yksi verstaan ehdottomista perustyökaluista. Se soveltuu liitosten hienosäätöön, liitostappien ym. ulkonevien osien tasoittamiseen ja tietysti nimensä mukaan vaikeiden kohtien "puhdistamiseen". Kidan säädön ansiosta höylällä tehtyä hyvin hienoa jälkeä vaikeammissakin paikoissa. Terän teroituskulma on 25 astetta, joten leikkuukulmaksi muodostuu perinteinen 45 astetta. Kita on tarkasti säädettävissä kaarevan säätöuran ansiosta. Lähempänä terää säätö muuttuu hitaammaksi, jolloin tarkka säätö on helpompi tehdä. Ruostumattomasta teräksestä tehty vankkarakenteinen kansi on miellyttävästi muotoiltu. Terää voidaan säätää sekä syvyys-, että sivuttaissuunnassa. Säätöruuvit ovat messinkiä. Höylä toimitetaan puurasiassa.
