The price of a table saw is strongly correlated with the structural strength of the device and the accuracy of its adjustments. Inexpensive models with sheet metal tables save on purchase costs, but they often require constant fine-tuning and can lead to inaccurate cuts. How do I avoid kickback when using a table saw?


A table saw is one of the most powerful tools in the workshop, but its safety regulations should never be compromised. The biggest risk when working is kickback. It occurs when the piece of wood being worked on is tilted against the blade or pinched between the teeth that rise at the back of the blade. In this case, the rising tooth grabs the wood and throws it with great force straight back towards the user.

The tension in the wood is released during the splitting process. When the wood splits, it may bend inwards and start to pinch the blade.
