Storage: Store blades separately in their original packaging or in a holder. If blades come into contact with each other, microscopic cracks may form in the carbide tips, which will reduce the cutting result.

The router requires care due to the high rotation speed (typically 10,000 – 30,000 rpm).

  • Feed direction: Always mill against the direction of blade rotation to maintain control. Down-milling should be avoided as it can lead to runaway.
  • Depth of cut: Avoid large material removals in one pass. Several light passes improve the finish and save both the machine and the blade.
  • Dust and debris: Always use an efficient dust extractor . Dust removal improves visibility and protects the respiratory tract.
  • To attach the blade: Push the blade shaft into the base and pull it back about 2-3 mm before tightening. This ensures that the clamping sleeve is evenly attached around the entire shaft.
