Compact, yet powerful entry level CNC machine with linear guides and high Z-capacity offers high level of precision with long service intervals. It's equipped with a next generation Duet 3 board with ethernet for using an external computer.
Easiness of use has been our key factor in development. Building the machine is easier than other machines of the same class and is really well documented.
The machine electronics come ready built and configured in a dust-proof enclosure. Connect the wires and start the machine.
The Polar Bear EDU CNC machines are targeted at professional and educational facilities that can't afford industrial capacity machines but need to produce small series of wooden, plastic, and non-ferrous parts.
Linear guides and ACME screws on all axis
The Polar Bear EDU CNC machines come with linear guides and ACME screws for a high level of precision and rigidity with long service intervals.
43mm Spindle holder
The EDU versions come standard with a 43mm spindle holder that fits AMB, Mafell, and other attachments such as lasers and vinyl cutters.
High Z-axis clearance
Due to steel gantry plates and strong aluminum profiles, we are able to offer high z-axis that is still accurate and rigid.
Optional table tops
We offer different optional table tops to smoothen your workholding and making the process easier. Available are both higher end and budget friendly table tops.
The MDF top with aluminium t-tracks has enough thickness allowing your to surface plane it multiple times. The t-slot tracks fits M8 hex head bolts and many different type of clamps available from Polar Bear.
The PE500 or MDF vacuum tables allows you for fast and easy workholding for your CNC routing.
Optional tramming adapter plate
With our adapter plate, you are able to tram the spindle in X and Y directions and attach more options such as a 15W OPT Laser and the AMB ATC spindle.
Optional laser heads
The Polar Bear CNC machine can easily be converted or upgraded with a laser cutting/engraving head such as from OPT Laser. The 6W laser can be inserted into our standard 43mm spindle mount and the 15W laser can be attached to our tramming adapter plate

Our table frame is easy to assemble, rigid and light weight.
