The mesh sits on the surface, so engraving flattens it and leaves a smooth matte area within the textured face. The contrast comes from texture rather than colour, which works well in single-colour pieces.

Suits jewellery, sign backgrounds, awards and interior details that want the look of metal with the workability of acrylic.
