Felt is the staple cloth of children's crafts and handmade goods: it does not fray, it is thick and it needs no edge stitching. A laser gives it shapes scissors cannot cut.
Check the felt is polyester rather than wool — wool smokes heavily and leaves a scorched edge. This grade is made for laser cutting.
