The calculations are based on the Grenke leasing price list, which does not include insurance. Insurance is compulsory and the customer can either purchase their own insurance or take it out with the same contract. Leasing financing is only granted to companies with a valid business ID.

The tool length sensor measures cutter length automatically and stores the zero point. The small model takes cutters up to 17 mm in diameter. The connector is Neutrik.
The housing is fully potted solid aluminium rated IP65: complete dust protection and protection against water jets from any angle. That matters on a machine where chips and coolant fly in every direction.
The supplied magnetic plate screws down anywhere with two screws, and the sensor attaches and detaches with one movement. It is therefore out of the way, and collects neither dust nor chips when not in use.
Accuracy is about 0.02 mm. On a manual tool change there is no need to jog to the zero point by hand: the offset between the touch point and the table is stored once, after which you enter the stock thickness and let the machine measure in two clicks. The same sensor also works with an automatic tool changer.
High-Z machines have carried a socket for a length or 3D probe under the emergency stop as standard since October 2005.
